mmmm, plants.

Recently, I rediscovered a tasty, tasty treat- the plants that Lisa keeps on top of the kitchen cabinets. I did know that they were there, but I'd been avoiding the area for quite some time. See, once I got up there for a snack, and one of the plants, pot and all, fell from the top of the cabinets to the floor, making a loud, loud noise that I did not like at all. I was so scared. Then later that day, Chris came home from work and saw the splatted plant and dirt everywhere exploded on the floor and he make much noise with the swearing and the cursing.

Anyway, I steered clear of that for many moons, but I thought I'd take a gander up there the other day. Mmmm, I forgot how luscious, so tasty. There's this one plant with spiky leaves that is just right for chewing. I love it, even though once after I ate it, I puked.

Henry, being the copycat that he is, decided one day to go up there and check out the plants for himself. Henry is never very graceful. I swear he is really a dog. He just looks like a cat. He hauled his butt on top of the counter, then to the top of the fridge, and he might have made it up to the top of the cabinets, but he didn't stay long. He jumped back down and knocked magnets off the side of the fridge, the front of the fridge, and knocked the food processor and the top of the rice maker on to the floor when he jumped down. Lisa was home, and she came running. Boy did she yell. She yelled and yelled and yelled and then yelled some more. She picked up Henry and shook him a little bit, still yelling. I made myself scarce. Then she made this poster:

Man. I've never been so bad that she's made a poster of me before. Needless to say, Henry hasn't been back up there again. I, however, sneak up there every opportunity I can. I love those plants, especially the ones with the spiky leaves. Lisa yells at me every time she sees me up there, but I'm always too quick for her to catch me. She moved my favorite plant the other day though and I am sad. The spider plant is still up there, and it's pretty tasty, so I guess it will have to do.

OMG WTF?

man. the other night, we were sleeping peacefully and then we heard a big bang and the humans got up and were looking out the window. they said the lights were out. they went back to bed sort of, but kept getting up. we couldn't really sleep either. then it got really cold. and colder.

then in the afternoon the humans started packing a bag and i saw lisa put hallie in the halliecab and they left with bags and hallie in her halliecab. i was all, "what about me?!" not too long after lisa came back and put me in my harness and picked me up and took me outside. it was cold! not like in summer when i can walk in the yard and eat the plants. she carried me all the way down this little road, holding me tight and then got in the car. hallie was in the backseat in her halliecab. i said MEOW and she said meow back all quiet and pitiful. i did not know what was going on. we rode in the car and that was kinda fun, but i was worried.

turns out we were going to the grandparents' house. we went in the door and lisa let me off the harness to wander around and took hallie downstairs in the basement where we ended up staying. see, here is where the catbox was:

hallie came out to explore once in a while, but most of the time she hid behind the washer. that cat likes appliances.

after a day or so, i couldn't take it anymore and i had to hide too. it was just so weird and strange and weird being in this strange place and once for quite some time no one was in the basement with us and i thought they might not ever come back!

time went by and lisa was around a lot so i hung out with her, even after she got mad at me for breaking stuff when i was upstairs. it wasn't too bad there, so i got comfy:

after two and 1/2 days, lisa got all in a flurry and packed up all our stuff and put hallie in her halliecab and grabbed me and put my harness on. we all got back in the car and drove again. i liked driving, but it worried me and I said, "MEOW!" and hallie said, "meow" in the backseat in her halliecab. soon, though we were home, though they humans were yelling about a leak and hallie and i got shut in the office with a catbox and some food. i didn't like that. i wanted to come out. eventually they let me out and all was well. we are home again and we are so happy and warm!
